Privacy Policy
Potty Police LLC · Effective June 2, 2026
Potty Police LLC (“Potty Police,” “we,” “us”) operates a restroom and travel-stop review service for the United States and Canada. This policy describes what we collect, why we collect it, and your choices.
Information we collect
- Account data: email, username, password (stored securely by our auth provider), and subscription tier.
- User content: restroom and facility reviews, ratings, location submissions, and business claim information you provide.
- Location: if you allow it, approximate GPS coordinates to center the map and show nearby locations. You can deny permission and still use search.
- Payment: subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We receive subscription status from Stripe webhooks; we do not store full card numbers.
- Diagnostics: lightweight app events (e.g. errors, ad load retries) may include app version, screen name, and IP address for operations. We do not intentionally collect review text in telemetry.
- Advertising: on the free plan, Google AdSense may collect data per Google’s policies.
How we use information
- Provide maps, search, reviews, ranks, and business portal features.
- Process subscriptions and business claims (including email verification codes).
- Improve reliability, security, and abuse prevention.
- Respond to support requests at help@pottypolice.app.
Service providers
We use trusted processors including Supabase (database and authentication), Google Maps/Places (maps and search), Stripe (payments), Resend (claim verification email), and Google AdSense (ads on the free tier). Each has its own privacy terms.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect users and the service, or with your direction (e.g. posting a public review tied to your username).
Retention
We keep account and review data while your account is active or as needed to operate the service. You may request account deletion (steps and what is deleted are listed there) or contact help@pottypolice.app.
Security
We use industry-standard practices including row-level database security, server-side subscription updates, and OTP hashing for claim verification. No method is 100% secure.
Children
The service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Your choices
- Access and update your username in Profile.
- Manage subscription via Stripe (receipt email or Customer Portal if enabled).
- Deny or reset location permission in device/browser settings.

Changes
We may update this policy. The “Effective” date above will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
